I am a huge fan of brownie in a mug, so I thought I’d expand a little. This makes a great, quick dessert that you don’t have to invest hardly any time into. Plus, mugs are fun to eat out of, so don’t blame me if you start eating out of a mug full time.
Every once in a while I’ll make muffins for the weekly snack. Sometimes I have a few leftover that we just didn’t get around to. Then these came along. I had a few overly ripe, (almost too ripe) bananas that needed taking care of. Also a few fresh strawberries, and about a cup of frozen mixed berries that were in the way. There had to be some way to make a muffin out of all of it, right? Absolutely right. We had zero leftover muffins last week.
I am planning a peach cobbler for my husband’s birthday (as well as some other secrets) coming up soon. This was the first cobbler I had ever made, and I was nervous. I gave the simple crust a test run along with some lingering blackberries and blueberries I didn’t eat with my oatmeal last week. We were pleased and I bet you would be, too.
If you want something filling and heavy, with a hearty flavor, this is your soup.. err.. whatever it is. I haven’t decided if it is fully a soup yet or not. Either way, it’s always fun to watch dumplings fluff up! … and then eat them.
These are exactly what you are expecting. Sweet and soft like you remember. My favorite part happens to be that you don’t have to get them out of a can that POPS! and scares you every time. (No matter how hard you tried not to jump.) No one wants that when they’re still trying to wake up.
