Today, I woke up and wanted to make some chili. I had a pretty serious craving. It took two hours to cook and smelt absolutely sexy. Two hours later, I dug in and … holy hell alive it was TOO hot. I guess I slipped and put too much pepper in or something. At first, I didn’t want to admit it. I thought ” I can handle this. ” … nope. I gave up but I was still starving. That’s when I broke out the peanut butter, jerked open the emergency fruit drawer and dug into the treasured supply of my momma’s apricot preserves.. and I had to have a couple cookies, too. Of course, the recipe is obvious and simple. But sometimes I like to share the simpler things. Lunch turned out better than expected.. but I still have no idea what to do with the lava chili ?
